1. Ensure that the saliva collection sponge is thoroughly soaked with saliva, which may take 2-3 minutes for a good sample to be collected.
2. After collecting saliva, securely place the collection sponge into the pot and screw it tightly.
3. If it doesn't screw down tightly, indicating insufficient saliva, return the sponge to the mouth briefly to collect more saliva.
4. If during testing you don't see any control lines, it's likely due to insufficient saliva on the sponge. Return it to the mouth to gather more saliva, then retry the test.
5. Note: If the collection sponge isn't adequately wet, the lid won't screw down tightly, leading to invalid results.
