- Nicotine & Cotinine NIC 3000ng & COT 300ng
- Cannabis THC 50ng
- Synthetic Cannabis K2 50ng
Our smoking and vaping drug testing kits are specifically designed to detect the most common substances typically encountered in nightlife, festival, and everyday recreational settings: Nicotine (NIC), Cotinine (COT), Cannabis (THC), and Synthetic Cannabis (K2/Spice). These are among the most widely used inhaled substances, often consumed through cigarettes, vapes, or herbal mixtures, which makes them harder to identify without proper testing.
Nicotine & Cotinine (NIC 3000ng/mL / COT 300ng/mL cross reaction sensitivity)
Nicotine is the primary addictive compound in tobacco and many vaping products. Cotinine, its main metabolite, remains in the body longer and serves as a reliable marker for nicotine use. Testing for both ensures accurate detection of tobacco or nicotine exposure, whether from smoking or vaping.
Cannabis / THC (50ng/mL sensitivity)
THC is the psychoactive component of cannabis, commonly consumed by smoking or vaping. Its widespread recreational use and varying potency levels make reliable THC testing essential for identifying recent cannabis consumption.
When testing cannabis, a slightly more advanced procedure is required because natural cannabis is not fully soluble. The test membrane is best suited for liquid samples, as solid cannabis is often identifiable by smell alone.
For testing solid cannabis, we recommend placing a small amount of the material in 5 ml of water and letting it sit for at least 5 minutes. This allows THC to dissolve into the water and helps prevent false negatives.
Synthetic Cannabis / K2 (50ng/mL sensitivity)
Synthetic cannabinoids (often sold as “K2” or “Spice”) are lab-made substances that mimic THC but can be far more potent and unpredictable. They are typically smoked or vaped and are associated with severe health risks. Because synthetic cannabis can’t be detected through appearance or smell, accurate screening is vital.
By targeting these substances, our smoking and vaping test kits provide a practical and highly sensitive way to check for recent use. Each kit is easy to use, delivers rapid results, and offers peace of mind in detecting nicotine, cannabis, or synthetic cannabis exposure quickly and reliably.
How to test a vape liquid for drugs
All of our professional drug testing kits will come with easy to follow instructions, however if you are still having trouble please find below the test instructions and demonstration video.
Remove the drug test panel from its protective foil.
Mix 3 drops of vape liquid with 5ml of clean water to make a more solvent solution.
Dip the absorbent wicks into the solution for 15 seconds, ensure the plastic panel (as indicated on the test) is not submerged, doing so may flood the test and give an invalid result.
Make sure the water is from a trustable source that won't be tainted by substances such as bleach or other oxidants. We recommend around 5ml of water in a small sterile container to prevent the dilution of the drugs being tested.
After 15 seconds the test windows should visibly show the solution flowing through the test window
This drug test can also be used to test urine, saliva, and powders for the presence of nicotine, cannabis, and synthetic cannabis.
How to read the results of the surface drug test kit?
- The results should be read at between 5-10 minutes
- There are two lines for each test, a control line (C) and a test line (T) the control line C is used to indicate if the test ran correctly. Invalid results are often caused by insufficient liquid or incorrect procedure.
- POSITIVE RESULTS Should have both a line in the C and T regions indicated on the panel (Please see product images).
- NEGATIVE RESULTS Should have only a line in the C region
- INVALID RESULTS Any tests without a line in the C region are invalid
