All new units are supplied pre-calibrated, but after regular use all digital breathalysers will require a calibration service to ensure their continued accuracy.

Manufacturers recommend calibration checks at a maximum of 600 test cycles or 12 monthly.
More frequent service will be required following high use, poor storage or exposure to high alcohol levels or smoke/tar.

We recommend a calibration service interval of between 3-6 months for all users depending on high accuracy.

To reduce calibration requirements, store all units in a even temperature environment.
Allow units to air after use (avoids condensation damage to sensor).
Do not test within 25 minutes of alcohol consumption and avoid smoking for 30 minutes before testing)

Value Breathalysers offer a full re-calibration service using Guth Simulators.
All units are electronically checked and cleaned. Sensors are checked and if needed, replaced.
After calibration, all units are checked and certified for accuracy prior to return.

Units must be returned to us for professional calibration.
Test certificates are issued with each unit calibrated.
