Re-Calibration & Technical Service

All new breathalysers purchased from our site come pre-calibrated. To ensure continued accurate testing, re-calibration is recommended periodically. Depending on usage, this may be required as frequently as 3 monthly, or with average usage, every 600 tests or 12 monthly. We use Guth simulators to calibrate the breathalysers at 3 levels of BAC, 0.00, 0.03 and 0.10 BAC % All units are issued with a post calibration test certificate and returned promptly. Please note we can only re-calibrate the following units CA2000, CA3000 models Alcomate, alcohawk, etc. Alcomate Pro-Digital, Scentech AL5000 AL6000 Tips to reducing calibration requirements and ensure accurate testing : ~ 1) store breathalysers at an even temperature (avoid car glove boxes !) 2) Remove battery if the unit is not to be used for a while. 3) Avoid testing within 20 minutes of alcohol consumption. 4) Avoid blowing cigarette smoke into the units.
